The international seminar “Service-learning – Engaged and Collaborative Teaching and Learning in Social Work" took place online on 17 March 2022.

The seminar aimed at promoting service-learning in social work education. The objective of the seminar was to spread knowledge and share experiences, benefits, and challenges about service-learning in social work education in different parts of the world and name recommendations for service-learning development. The seminar targeted scholars, practitioners, students, and community partners interested in the concept of service-learning in social work education.

The seminar was organized by Matej Bel University, Faculty of Education, Department of Social Work, Slovakia; The University of Presov in Presov, Faculty of Arts, Institute of Educology and Social Work, Slovakia; Ilia State University Faculty of Arts and Science, Social Work Program, Georgia; the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, School of Social Work, Ukraine, University of Belgrade – Faculty of Political Sciences, Department for Social Work and Social Policy.

The seminar was supported by the European Associations of Schools of Social Work.

The seminar was facilitated by Latin American Center for Solidarity Service-Learning (CLAYSS).
